Rome’s National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art houses the most complete collection of artworks of Italian and foreign art of the period between 19th and 21st centuries. Including paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations, the collection of around 20.000 artworks represents the main artistic movements of the last two centuries, from Neo-classicism to Impressionism, from Divisionism to the Avant-Garde, from Futurism and Surrealism to the significant group of Italian artworks made between 1920ies and 1940ies, from the movement of Novecento to the Roman School.
