In the splendid Umbrian town there is the beautiful cathedral of San Giovenale dating back to the Romanesque period.


In the splendid Umbrian town there is the beautiful cathedral of San Giovenale dating back to the Romanesque period the entrance now closed you enter from a side access on the left from a portico in a narrow square covered by a portico before reaching the main entrance in the beautiful square with its white stairway dominated by two column-bearing lions with an architrave of the majestic portal decorated with grape shoots. The interior has a three-nave saint the apse remodeled in 600 inside the remains of S.Giovenale, patron saint and first bishop of the city of Narni in the 4th century AD. Centuries of history are stratified in the cathedrals starting from the early Christian era up to the Baroque period with the canopy in the style of Bernini in San Pietro made by Paglia.
