How do I get there

Make your way to Bornholmer Straße S-Bahn. You can bring your bike with you on the S-Bahn but you need to buy a separate ticket. From there, the start of the Berlin Wall part 2 route is very close. If you click here, when the bubble pops up, in the header, just click the arrow. This will load the start of the route up in google maps and it will help you navigate there.

What's the route like?

Impressive. Obviously, the roads are a bit tricky to manoeuvre because of traffic, and sometimes there is no cycle path and your battling it out with cars for some room, but you will notice quite early on that you probably don't even need to use your phone for navigation. The Berlin mural on the ground can guide you most of the way.

The first place that will raise your interest is Mauerpark. If it happens to be a Sunday when you come through here, check out the flea markets. Top-quality random items for sale here. A tip from those in the know is that if you go there late, around 5ish, all the food vendors are selling their stuff half price. God knows I've brought many disappointed dates here for food over the years.

From there, you'll follow the route and see some of the more famous sites like Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe and Checkpoint Charlie. I would encourage you to also check out other memorials on the way. The Memorial to the Sinti and Roma Victims of National Socialism and Memorial to Homosexuals Persecuted Under Nazism are worth checking out.

From here, the route will bring you along a path where new buildings are common. You might get the wrong impression of Berlin seeing these new buildings but wait until you get into Kreuzberg. At the time of writing, this was the place to live... it has since moved onto Neukölln. I hope it's my neighbourhood that is the next cool place to live.... let's see.

In both areas you'll you won't find not as many tourists but you'll get a feel for what it would be like to live in the city. Also a great place to stop for a few sneaky ones. I don't know if this bar is still open when you read this but Tante Lisbeth has some of the best beer I've ever had. Tankbier, all the way from Czechia. If you stop there for a sneaky one, you won't finish the cycle :)

From here it's a very nice cycle down the Teltow Canal until you finish.

How do I get home?

You are close to the S-Bahn Adlershof. From there, all roads lead Home.. or back to Tante Lisbeth :)
